Pork Teriyaki style

This dish is 3 syns for it all and will serve 3-4 people depending how hungry you are

I can’t suggest strongly enough presenting it in a veggie egg fried rice ring, it looks so impressive!  Regardless, this is slightly sticky because of the touch of honey but still has a really good, strong flavor.

Ingredients

500g cubed pork – all visible fat removed
1 cup teriyaki sauce
1 tablespoon honey (2.5 syns)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
Frylite
Sesame seeds for garnish (1/2 a syn)

Method:

Combine all the ingredients except the pork and sesame seeds, this is your marinade and sauce

Cook the pork in your sauce
Cut the pork and place in the marinade, turning so all the meat is coated and leave for around 3 hours
Lightly spray a wok or large frying pan with fry lite and over a medium heat cook the meat and sauce
Pork does not take a long time to cook, it is a white meat and depending on the size of the cubes will take about 7 minutes.  Same as chicken make sure it’s cooked through but you really don’t need to boil it to death.  I cooked this pork for about 10 minutes as I wanted to thicken the sauce slightly

Sprinkle with sesame seeds if using and serve immediately

I served my pork teriyaki in a ring of veggie fried rice, the recipe for that is here

It wasn’t dry in the slightest as the sauce is in the rice and on the bottom of the plate
