Taster Treats

We had taster night at class this week and I couldn’t decide what to make so in the end went with a selection…Ferrero Rocher, Salted Caramel Brownie Bites with a curly wurly crumble and Coconut Choc Chip Cookies.

Low syn taster treats!
Everything was low syn, under two each item.  Who said you couldn’t lose weight and still enjoy cakes and cookies!

Give them a try over the Holiday season!

Enjoy

Keema Cottage Pie with Bombay Mash

This syn free version of cottage pie is spicy enough for these cold nights but won’t blow your head off.  The Bombay potato topping give you your curry and side all in one dish, all you need to do is add extra veg!

Easy to make, not a lot of washing up I think this is the perfect mid-week comfort meal and even better it’s totally syn free.  You can swap the mash for plain if you’d prefer but I find spiced potato really adds an extra layer of flavor and sprinkled with mustard seeds just gives that little more depth.

Baked Oat Cookies

Everyone likes a cookie, let’s be honest but with a paltry one hob nob coming in at 3.5 syns I thought it was about time I came up with a better option than that!  My baked oat cookies are syn free as part of your HEB depending what you add to them, the chocolate chip and Christmas are my favourite at the moment but I’ll keep taking one for the team and trying new varieties and let you know how they go!

If you want to give them a try the recipe is here, I want to say they’ll last 2-3 days but I’ve not managed to get them to last that long yet!
