Pork & Sundried Tomato Meatballs

Saw these at Tesco the other day, they’re a Weight Watchers pre-made meal.  I don’t eat pre-packaged food but I thought they sounded interesting so I made them as a snack.

It’s 1 syn for all 12 meatballs which I’m pretty happy with (that's for the sundried tomatoes).

They’d be great in a passata based sauce with extra veg, herbs and some chillis but I didn’t want to mess about doing all that, I had the nibbles, wanted something savoury and fancied giving them a try.  They’d be great as part of a tapas meal as well – they’re not dry as pork can sometimes be and the sundried tomato really gives them flavor.

Pizza on a Wrap – Syn Free

I think weight Watchers wraps have to be anyone on Slimming World’s best food friend.  I use them to make pies, pasties, sausage rolls and now pizza!

Syn free pizza on a wrap
Admittedly tuna and prawn pizza is not everyone’s idea of pizza heaven but you can do anything, whatever your favourite is just go for it.  Remember things like pepperoni have to be synned and so does your wrap and cheese if you’ve used your healthy options for the day but this is a really quick, easy and low/no syn version of my very favourite food

If you try nothing else I think you should try this pizza, the recipe is here

Cajun Chicken Soy & Honey Kebabs

I wanted to try something different this week and had decide on chicken but had no idea what to do with it.  In the end I made a concoction up using what was in the cupboard and have to say this time it was a success.

These kebabs are not spicy (although they could be!).  It was like a mellow sweet and sour without the sour, which clearly makes no sense but if you try them you’ll get what I mean.

Apart from the marinading, these are super quick to make and a really good way to have extra veggies with your meal.  I especially like peppers and onions that are blackened so for me it was a treat.
Low syn chicken, soy & honey kebabs
At 2 ½ syns for all four kebabs they’re a perfect go to for a light lunch with salad but you could just as easily serve with syn free wedges or even a spiced rice…or all of that at once!

If you want to give them a try the low syn Cajun chicken honey & soy kebab recipe is here

Enjoy,
