Last weekend she came by for a cup of tea outside where we
could socially distance catch up and I surprised her with a mini afternoon tea
and prosecco. I love that she has one
glass and I have, well I drink the rest.
This helps make an excellent friend!

My decision to do the afternoon tea was a bit last minute
and I went for the ever beloved baked oat muffins cooked in heart shaped buns. These are almond flavour with Nutella hidden
inside (her favourite) and I whipped up a batch of potato poppers which I’ve not
done literally for years. These had some
low fat cheese and half a slice of salami inside but they can be made veggie
friendly with roasted peppers, a herby garlic cheese or even cheese and tomato
with basil to make mini pizza bites
Regardless, it was lovely to catch up, enjoy the sunshine and
have a low syn afternoon tea
